England smoke-free from 1 July 2007
On the 1st July 2007, the law on smoking in England will change. Under the Health Act 2006, smoking will no longer be permitted in enclosed, or substantially enclosed places of work or public places.

Waste Electrical & Electrical Equipment (WEEE)
The regulations came into force on 2 January 2007. Producers must join a compliance scheme by 15 March 2007. Producers have to mark electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) by 1 April 2007. Full responsibility for treating and recycling household WEEE begins on 1 July 2007.
