The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 focuses on the need to undertake a risk assessment of the workplace and work activities. By assessing such risks, employers will be able to effectively identify which hazards are present, the level of risk that each danger poses and the control measures required to prevent or minimise harm to employees and others likely to be affected.

We can help you with all aspects of risk management including:

A planned programme of site visits to ensure that the health and safety needs of your business are identified, assessed and effectively and managed.

An initial site meeting determines the way that health and safety is currently being managed and to discuss any concerns. This is followed by a walkthrough survey of the site, accompanied by a member of staff. A briefing is given on completion to discuss any issues that may require immediate action. Local managers are encouraged to shadow the assessment process, thereby helping to increase their own safety awareness.

The following are examples of different risk assessment services available:

  • Task / activity risk assessments
  • Premises risk assessments
  • Pregnancy and young persons risk assessments
  • Lone workers risk assessments
  • Specialist risk assessments eg. DSEAR, working at heights, manual handling etc.
